The Dunston Silver Band in concert
Dunston Silver Band is dedicated to providing music for their local communities and keeping up the strong tradition of brass bands in the North East. The Trust awarded a grant of £1,000 to help band compete in the Final Heat of the National Brass Band Championships of GB.
The YMCA in Northumberland received a £30,000 grant towards a major capital project to establish a Digital Arts Hub in Ashington. The funding allowed the Association to furnish and equip a new training, exhibition and performance space and install two IT suites equipped with the latest digital media, photo and video equipment.
The Trust awarded a grant of £15,000 over three years to the NewcastleGateshead Initiative for their annual Juice Festival which showcases outstanding work created by, and for North East children and young people aged under-25. The support enabled the festival to offer more events and dedicated support for children and families with additional needs and disabilities.
